Whether you’re completely new to golf or coming back to the game after a break, our new ‘give golf a go!’ initiative is the perfect way to explore the idea at Stowmarket Golf Club at Finborough Park.
FREE TASTER SESSIONS
What is a taster session?
It’s a very laid-back get-together here at the Club, giving ladies 18yrs+ the chance to find out about getting into (or back into) golf.
Join us for tea (or coffee) and a delicious slice of cake in our friendly Clubhouse with a few of our ladies members. They will show you round the facilities here at the Club, including the Academy Course and practice areas, and will answer any questions you might have about giving golf a go.
We’ll also get have some fun with a little putting competition! Putters will be provided.
When are the taster sessions?
We’re offering one taster session on a weekday evening and another on a Saturday afternoon, so hopefully one or the other will suit.
Dates available:
Thursday 5th June at 6pm
Saturday 7th June at 3pm

How much does a taster session cost?
As the title says, these group get-togethers are completely FREE, and you don’t need to have your own clubs or any special ‘golf gear’ whatsoever. So, there’s nothing stopping you is there?
What should I bring to a taster session?
Nothing! Just come in trainers and comfy clothes. All equipment and balls etc. will be provided on the day.
How long does a taster session last?
We expect the session will last up to 2 hours, depending on the number of attendees.
ACADEMY MEMBERSHIP
If, after the taster session, you decide you’d like to ‘give golf a go’ we’re offering a 6-week Academy Membership, complete with weekly group lessons with our on-site Golf Professional for a special introductory price of £100 (subject to a minimum of 4 ladies taking part).
As well as the weekly expert tuition, this gives you full access to the Academy Course, the practice areas and Clubhouse facilities, as well as some group lessons with our on-site Golf Professionals.
This is the perfect way to explore the beautiful game of golf, and what better place to do it than right here at Finborough Park, in the heart of the Suffolk’s stunning countryside.
