Dear Alan,

I am writing on behalf of the Suffolk Golf Union Junior Committee to thank Stowmarket Golf Club for hosting the joint 2023 Suffolk Junior Championships for boys and girls.

The course was in excellent condition and provided a good, fair challenge for the golfers and I am certain that they all enjoyed playing the course.  The fact that we had 50 players taking part shows how popular it was with the players to have the opportunity to play there.  The fact that three of the first four places in the 18-hole Stableford competition were taken by Stowmarket juniors shows that junior golf must be thriving at your club, which is a great thing for the county.

Sincere thanks to you, Kenton and the ladies Captain for welcoming us on our early arrival and for the assistance provided throughout the day.  Your contribution helped to ensure that the day ran smoothly, without a hitch.

Please pass on my thanks to everyone involved in making our championships a great success, in particular the greens staff for preparing the course, the clubhouse staff for their hospitality and excellent food and especially to the members who gave up their time to act as ball spotters for the players, which was invaluable.
