Dear Trevor,

I wanted to write to thank the club for a wonderful day yesterday. From the moment we arrived ,all of us were made very welcome.

In case I miss any names, because everyone was brilliant, I shall not provide individual accolades but from the serving of the bacon rolls, the bar service (the Yardbird beer down a treat following my recommendation!), the lovely meal of chicken breast covered by cheese, not to mention the condition of the golf, everything was first class. Our organiser was effusive in his congratulations but unfortunately not many of the staff were around when we gave them a round of applause when sitting at the table.

I was especially happy about yesterday as, to be frank, the society had not been given a particularly good experience by the club in the past. Nothing too bad but the message had spread and was reflected in my speaking to some of the members. It was one of the reasons that I encouraged the society to come and give it another go. So I’m pleased that’s been put to rest.

My heartfelt  thanks also to Nicola in helping me to deal with the admin for the day.
